The 26th annual Flagler Home &Lifestyle Show, benefiting FlaglerCounty Schools Adult and Community Education, will be held January 29 & 30, 2011 at Flagler Palm Coast High School Campus.  It will be a weekend of entertainment and valuable information showcasing hundreds of local businesses and featuring arts and crafts, professional and local entertainment and food and beverage vendors galore.

Beginning as a small weekend event to showcase the local service organizations in the area of Palm Coast, the Home Show grew into something much larger due to the inclusion of local businesses that also wanted the community exposure.  The administrative staff of Adult and Community Education felt they now had a purpose – a fundraiser for their programs and a noble cause which would benefit the growing community.

“Every year since its inception the HomeShow/Service Fair has improved and expanded as organizations asked to be included,” said Karen Miller, Program Manager for Adult andCommunity Education.  “That is why today we have a Home Show, a Service Fair, an Art Show, a Health Fair, and a Food Court all rolled into one wonderful weekend. ”

The Home Show is Adult and Community Education's major fundraiser to help provide scholarships for Adult Education students and sponsorships of many worthwhile programs. Some of the projects Adult Education sponsors with the proceeds are Education Foundation Support, Special Olympics, Summer Camp Scholarships for disadvantaged children, eye glasses for needy children, Adult High School incentives and college scholarships to name a few.
