AIR CONDITIONING, REFRIGERATION AND HEATING TECHNOLOGY 1
Program Length: 750 hours

The Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Technology program (HVAC) is designed to prepare students for employment or advanced training in the heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation industry. Students will be prepared for employment as A/C, Refrigeration and Heating Helper, A/C Refrigeration and Heating Mechanic Assistant, A/C, Refrigeration and Heating Mechanic and A/C Refrigeration and Heating Technician.

This program is designed to prepare students for employment in the HVAC service, installation and maintenance industry. The program follows the Department of Workforce Education Curriculum frameworks allowing the student to identify safe working condition; proper maintenance of tools and equipment; and demonstrate an understanding  of Environmental Protection Administration rules and regulations. The student will gain a working knowledge of fluids, pressures, refrigerants, fabrication and service of piping, tubing, fittings and knowledge of system components and accessories, as well as practical knowledge of electricity and electrical components of heating and air conditioning systems.


ELECTRICIAN
Program Length: 750 hours
 
The Electrician program prepares students for employment or advanced training in a variety of construction electrical industries. It provides students with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to succeed in residential, commercial, and industrial fields. Training includes assembly, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment used in these applications. 

This program focuses on broad, transferable skills, stresses the understanding of all aspects of the electricity industry, and demonstrates such elements of the industry as planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues, and health, safety, and environmental issues.
